Chronic non-healing wounds, ostomies and urinary or fecal incontinence debilitate more than 16 million Americans. Central Oregon Home Health and Hospice (COHHH) approaches the unique challenges in the healing process with our specialty program: Wound Ostomy Continence Care (WOC).
Our skilled nurses and Board-Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) work together as a team to provide care in the homes of our patients with:
- draining wounds
- acute and/or chronic wounds
- fistulas
- pressure ulcers
- ostomies

Ostomy Care. An ostomy is a surgically created opening in the abdominal wall through which stool or urine is eliminated. An ostomy results in changes that are physically and psychosocially difficult for the patient to deal with. To help them, our CWOCN provides education to patients and families to support them in the process of coping with the stress resulting from their surgery. |

Continence Care. Urinary or fecal incontinence can be a devastating experience for any individual, robbing them of control, independence and dignity. With the collaborative efforts of our CWOCN and healthcare professionals, patients can take charge of their problem and stay in control. By working with your physician to determine the cause of incontinence, we can recommend medication and exercise that will help you. Our objective is to help each patient maintain their dignity and active lifestyle. |
